Treatment
What is Neuro Prolotherapy
A simple outpatient procedure
Neuro Prolotherapy (NPT) was pioneered by Dr. John Lyftogt (New Zealand) in the 1990s and is an advanced form of Prolotherapy (Where glucose injections are used to treat painful conditions) as taught by the Hemwall-Hackett institute in Wisconsin since 1956. In NPT, a fine half inch needle is used to inject a solution of glucose just under the skin, thereby reversing the inflammation.
All pain, both acute and chronic, recent or longstanding is caused by nerve inflammation, and Neuro Prolotherapy (NPT) acts directly on the peripheral nervous system to treat it. Depending on the individual case, treatment can take anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes. Treatment is very safe and the only possible side effect is the extremely minor risk of infection that would apply to any injection and no such case has been reported with NPT.
Treatment Fee
Prices start at €120 per treatment. Average treatment takes around 20 - 30 minutes. You can expect to be pain-free immediately after the first treatment and this usually lasts at least a few days. It is recommended to repeat the treatment over the course of several weeks as necessary. Please call 087 0508 753 to book an appointment.
